Knutpunkt 2010 - Show not Tell

This year, Knutpunkt happens in Sweden. The yearly Nordic conference brings together role-players of all shapes and sizes from all corners of the world, predominantly Europe, to network, exchange ideas, play games, and share their creative energy. It is a great opportunity to get in touch with recent developments in the role-playing community.
The theme for this year's Knutpunkt is "show not tell". This means putting to use our well-honed skills of creating immersive and participatory events to show the latest and greatest in role-playing design, playing techniques, character creation, edu-larping, and whatnot. In brief, we are focusing on things that engage through active participation.
We also want everyone to contribute. Yes, that means YOU! We are convinced that there is at least one game, larp, workshop, talk, documentation or social event in each and everyone of us. So why don't you bring that old game that you participated in two years ago, or re-run that great minilarp you organized last summer? Or pick a game from our list of ideas and requests, and make it happen? Whatever you do, people will find something to take away from it.
As always, Knutpunkt has a limited number of places, so sign up now to reserve your seat, bed—and place in the programme.
What is this
Knutpunkt (known as Solmukohta, Knutepunkt or Knudepunkt when held in Finland, Norway and Denmark respectively) is an annual Nordic role-playing convention with a strong emphasis on live-action role-playing.Since the first event, Knutpunkt has evolved into the main venue of cooperation between Nordic role-playing gamers. The games and workshops are a goldmine for finding new ideas about gaming and game organizing, and for floating old ideas around - it is a wonder how many old ideas in one gaming culture are found to be a novelty in another.
Knutpunkt is not, however, only about the games, workshops and lectures. It is about meeting interesting people and sharing your ideas and views with them – it is about having fun and finding inspiration. In the last few years, the event has expanded its horizons considerably. In addition to the main Nordic countries, we have had participants from many corners of the world.
So, no matter where you are from, no matter whether you are an old gaming enthusiast or new to the live-action role-playing scene, welcome!
