Description of the event

The RPG and larp scene has ever featured a do-it-yourself ambition, resulting in a large body of rulesets, add-ons, art and documentation from lone enthusiasts as well as semi-professional teams and small publishers.

Most of it is being released on the internet, however alarmingly few authors seem to consider the legal implications.

I am not talking about someone stealing your game and making millions from it. In a world of ever-increasing persecution of copyright infringements it is a risk for your players, for fellow authors, for interested individuals to download, copy, adapt, re-distribute or translate material that is not accompanied by a license.

"What can I do with this text? What not?"

We need to act now. This talk will outline the problem, present tried and tested licensing solutions and conclude with a flaming appeal for proper licensing that you don't want to miss.
